President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement has uttered a tough denunciation for placing Pro-freedom leaders continuously under stringent house arrest. Hurriyet leaders and activists are not allowed to move-out and their movements have been cogently restricted which gives the factual face depiction of New Delhi - who paradoxically enchants for the claim, to be the world’s biggest democracy-here in Kashmir She has marred peoples honorable democratic right-right of right to self determination, Mir said.
In the attire of futile parliamentary elections ,whole of the South Kashmir has been converted into a military garrison , where countless checked points have been erected and people are asked to remain in queues for gamboling after almost every 250 yards ,which has caused redundant trouble not only to commuters but also to inhabitants of the area, Iqbal said. President MeA maintained that Kashmir is bleeding and still the conflict continues to be unresolved after more than six decades, fuelling the conventional and nuclear arms race between Pakistan and India - not only drains economy but also consumes their productive human resources -both countries have gone to conventional wars on several occasions over Kashmir and the possibility of war between the two countries has become frightening in the given circumstances of being the nuclear powers within the region ; therefore both countries must give flexibility with a new thought to their political stand, and restart the result oriented discourse on their bilateral disputes giving prominence to the core issue (Kashmir) which can be resolved in the format of tripartite consultations, respecting the desires, wishes and aspirations of common stock of people of Jammu Kashmir as the prime party to the dispute.
