Kashmir to act as a peace bridge not a bone of contention in Indo-Pak relations: Mahaz

Mahaz Media Cell, 18th November, 2009: Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) , convened a weekly meeting at its party headquarters , presided by the party president , Mir Mohammad Iqbal , in which all the senior leaders of MeA participated . While illustrating the present world situation and global priorities of various countries , who matter a lot ,the stand taken by US, UK, Libya, Canada, Belgium, Turkey, China etc. especially OIC and Saudi Arabia vis-à-vis Kashmir is an encouraging step in terms of Kashmir polity , Mir said.
Right from the Nehru-Liyakat Pact up to Lahore declaration ,and the various joint statements of India and Pakistan till to the Sharm-Ul –Sheikh , the dire need arises that all the resistance leaders on either side of LOC must develop a Common Minimum Agenda(CMA) and persuade nuclear capable countries of Sub-continent – who have ranged the nuke war heads towards each other ,must come to the realm that in their skirmishes Kashmiris have become the first causality , therefore in the given situation it is mandatory upon the resistance leaders to come up with a full diplomatic and political plunk as pragmatists and convince both Pakistan and India for reconciliation , which will usher a durable , acceptable and dignified settlement of Kashmir, Mir said, adding that it is high time for Kashmiri leadership to express their fortitude in a transparent manner. Of course time gaining can be the best stratagem for India but for Kashmiris to seek maximum from the time could be the wise approach , so let us address possibility and plausibility not the probability ,Iqbal said .
President MeA reiterated that Kashmiri resistance leadership is donning for the dialogue but to start with we must be clear about the political package or proposal to look for , provided it is ours not the purchased one , but that must be in accordance with the aspirations , desires, wishes and sentiments of naïve Kashmiris.
Iqbal maintained that Kashmiri leadership can act as a bridge of peace between India and Pakistan ,if we are vibrant, agile and futuristic with the policy of abridging not to amplifying the Indo-Pak gulf but at the same time to generate trust among those who matter in New Delhi and Islamabad our leadership need to adopt a clear guiding principle vis-à-vis Kashmir , so we collective must train our political guns to make Kashmir a peace bridge not a bone of contention in Indo-Pak relations.
