Mahaz expresses solidarity with the families of disappeared Kashmiri Youth

Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi (MeA) President Mir Mohammad Iqbal in an assertion expresses solidarity with the families, whose children have been subjected to enforced disappearance at the hands of Indian armed forces under the garb of special powers empowered to them and left trigger happy ,since 1990 with the theory of pro-notion to kill the resolute of common Kashmiris. Jammu Kashmir is illegally occupied by India from 1947, it’s suppressed and oppressed naïve people (Kashmiris) are demanding their birth right ‘Freedom’ for which they have rendered exemplary sacrifices, Mir Said.
“Our Martyrs are the real assets of Kashmiri nation and it is our moral duty to carry their mission till to the logical conclusion,” adding, “We can feel the agony , distress ,twinge and pain of those parents whose children vanished in thin air rather enforcedly disappeared in the custody of Indian armed forces : some rendered half-widowed but Mahaz is committed to continue the ongoing political freedom struggle till to the cherished goal ‘Independence’.”

Travesty of truth / By Azam Inqilabi

It was on August 15, 2009 when Dr. Manmohan Singh , the Prime Minister of India, while addressing the Indian nation from the ramparts of Red Fort, said that Assembly elections of Kashmir had rendered the resistance leaders of Kashmir “irrelevant.” I felt astounded and shell-shocked . “Is it lapsus linguae of the suave, self-possessed, sagacious and discreet leader trying to divest himself of the horror created by the fictitious and fabulous problems in and outside the establishment ;and have the hawks held him as hostage against sine qua non—acquiescing in of the supremo?” , I murmured and grumbled with my own intuitive paroxysm . After all , who made him feel so estranged and insecure as to belie and falsify what history and UNO have already accepted as a stark reality sanctified by the promise (Vachan) made by Pt. Jawahirlal Nehru and Pak leaders too. Yes, Kashmiris have yet to exercise their right to self -determination through free and fair referendum.
The truth and sooth of Kashmir resistance movement cannot be equivocated and forfeited by compulsive rhetoric of the adversaries around. Kashmir-related realities are intact unless UNO as the world forum becomes irrelevant and redundant for good. Transient and flippant overtures and gestures of friendship cannot be a substitute to the serious volition and resolve to solve the outstanding issues which have bedevilled and embittered relations of the two nuclear powers of South Asia . Tantalizing the already mortified and benumbed Kashmiris; dabbling at and stereotyping Kashmir issue is an obnoxious monolithic monotony morbid and unpalatable indeed.
Notwithstanding the dichotomic contradictions of the top brass my resilient optimism makes me feel enamoured and enthralled; and I soon start looking at the leaders of India and Pakistan with pity and compassion too. In fact, it is the elite which ,despite knowledge of vulnerability and susceptibility of South Asia in an environment of horrifying nuclearization, feels nostalgic about the regressive obscurantism and chauvinism which blurs and blinkers the vision of the leaders on whom lies the onus of prospective guidance and decisive diktats for ensuring global peace and stability .No skulduggery can guarantee deliverance and retrieval from the mire and morass of uncertainty, commotion and consternation that has enveloped the civil society of Asia. So instead of envenoming this society more and more through myopic policy of brinkmanship consecrated constructive efforts should be put in to detoxicate it to ensure peace ,tranquillity and reconciliation between groups and nations pitted against one another.
Senator Akram Zaki of Pakistan, while dilating on global politics with veridical approach in his interview published in an English daily on August17, 2009 , alluded to Saarland, a piece of a land that had become a bone of contention between France and Germany as an aftermath of 2nd. World War. Rationalism and stoicism of the contending parties eventually facilitated the free and fair referendum in Saarland in 1955 consequent on which the disputed territory got annexed with Germany ; and today the bonhomie of the two powers is vividly conspicuous in European Union. The precedent should coax and cajole India and Pakistan to have tryst with a similar example of objectivity and realism. Why should truth become a casualty when the visionary leader Mr. Jaswant Singh, the ex-foreign minister of India ,tries to be vocal in his assertion for truth thereby unveiling what remains shrouded by bigotry and irredentism ?Yes, I too subscribe to Mr. Singh’s viewpoint that M.A . Jinnah was a nationalist, not a communalist, and he was pushed to the wall by the parochialism of Indian National Congress and subsequently he was “demonized” as a recalcitrant and intractable dissident hell-bent on the vivisection of India.’ (unquote). As a high profile self –respecting conscientious Muslim leader Jinnah Saheb did what one million books on decommunalized politics could not elucidate . Now peaceful coexistence between India and Pakistan is prioritized by exponents of stratagem of modus vivendi . The two countries should bury the hatchet for good, if suicide is not an option . Mr. Jaswant Singh will discern a like- minded friend in late Abul Kalam Azad ,Congress stalwart, whose book ‘India Wins Freedom’ is a magnum opus for the students of history . Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpaye as the Prime Minister of India, jotted down in the visitors’ book at Mizar-e-Pakistan that stability and integrity of India depended on the stability and integrity of Pakistan .The message is loud and clear for the irredendists of India.
Kashmir issue , as Prof. Dr. Anand Kumar of JNU in an informal interaction with me in my cottage a few days back maintained , has the inherent potential of turning out to be casus belli of a nuclear holocaust in South Asia . This is, of course, a nightmarish prognosis for humanists of East and West. So the two countries India and Pakistan should, without further digression and dilatory detour, be prompt for brass tacks— substantive dialogue for the final amicable settlement of Kashmir problem. That Kashmir is ‘atoot ang of India’ or ‘political shahrag of Pakistan’ is a travesty of truth . Well, it is a different story that rivers originating from Kashmir have accorded to Kashmir the title of “economic jugular vein of Pakistan.” Stated position of the either country did not prove of any help; rather it proved counterproductive. Instead of negativism a prospective and perspicacious approach should be adopted for a discursive and substantive debate and discourse on Kashmir. This is an altruistic way to ameliorate the lot of millions of pauperized people of South Asia. Of late, Pakistan declared that “Pak was not averse to the concept of Independent Kashmir.” India should seize the opportunity to mollify bruised Kashmiris. God Almighty will not leave us in the lurch. He will certainly come to our rescue.

Kashmiris render exemplary sacrifices for Independent Kashmir: Mahaz

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) Mir Mohammad Iqbal in an avowal said that UNCIP ( United Nation’s Commission on India and Pakistan) resolution of 13th August ,1948 is the base ,which gives guarantee to Kashmiris for expressing the will to decide their future . MeA firmly believes that the acceptable and honourable solution to Kashmir is the negotiable settlement , which can be achieved in contrast with right to right of self determination , whose doctrine should be widespread not restrictive, Mir said.
Mir Iqbal reiterated that Kashmiris have rendered exemplary sacrifices for achieving the cherished goal— the complete Independence of Jammu Kashmir, for which naïve people are maimed, chastity tarnished, wanton loot of wealth and property is done by authorities of oppression and suppression but still people at large are wedded with the ongoing resistance movement.
He maintained that mission of Martyrs will be taken to the logical conclusion come what may.
It is worth to mention that Kashmiris across Jammu Kashmir, Azad Kashmir and abroad observe Self-determination Day in commemoration of resolution of August 13, 1947 which promises plebiscite as solution to the dispute of Kashmir.

Maqbool Butt’s face glittered/By Azam Inqilabi

When on Aug.5,2009 Mr. Abdul Basit , the foreign office spokesman of Pakistan , declared in unambiguous words that Pakistan favoured the emergence of independent Kashmir because free Kashmir would act as a “stabilizing factor” in Indo-Pak political relationship . Pensive Maqbool Butt—while feeling thrilled, elated and exalted in Jannat-ul-Firdous –murmured with a smiling face : “Bohut d’air Kee meharban aatay aatay”. This is the serious considerate official proclamation of a government which is ascribed and attributed to Bhuttoos (with special reference to martyr Z.A. Bhutoo). It was in Summer 1970 when I called on late Z.A. Bhutoo in a hotel in Rawalpindi and handed over a memorandum to him. Bhuttoo Sahab , in his proud entourage ,with a lustrous and blooming face said, “I will go through this document and apprise you of my response .” A day after ,Dr. Farooq Haider , a bosom friend of Maqbool Butt, and my host informed me that Bhuttoo Sahab has appreciated the gravamen of the blueprint on independent Kashmir. Again in 1994 AD, during my sojourn in Pakistan, I tried to meet late Benazir Bhuttoo Sahiba , the Prime Minister of Pakistan , but in vain . I simply wanted to remind her of what the prognosticative and prospective brain of her father Z.A. Bhuttoo was visualizing about a pragmatic solution of Kashmir issue.
Kashmiris are not ingrate and ungrateful people. We are indebted to Pakistan for the sustained and consistent support which she provided to our resistance movement during the decades gone by. Yes, we express our gratitude and vail our hats off to Pak nation for the heroic role it played in displaying its indomitable and insuperable will and valour while expressing solidarity with the subjugated , vituperated , putrified and petrified people of Kashmir . Kashmiris had reposed trust in God Almighty ;they kept struggling hard for the achievement of their cherished objective-Azadi. Their unflinching faith in Province and unwavering resolve and pluck inevitably fructified . And today the visionary leaders of Pakistan , through lateral thinking indeed ,conceded to the concept of independent Kashmir . Hence bravo to this glaring bravado! So, far Kashmiris the month August is august, perhaps , because it endorses Kashmiris’ option of unfettered right to self-determination . On August 13,1948 UNCIP resolution ratified Kashmiris’ innate urge for freedom and on Aug.5, 2009 Pak establishment inversely accepted the precedence of Aug.13,1948 resolution over Jan 5,1949 resolution of United Nations Commission on India and Pakistan .Our euphoric exhilaration gets dampened and we stop raving over the ostensible positivism of Pakistan when the atmosphere is rife with the heart –rendering news that some hawks in Pak system are hell-bent on punishing sons of the soil – “ Ayub Khan should be punished for ensuring the integrity of Pakistan in 1965; Zia-ul-Haq should be punished for taking on Soviet Union in Afghanistan ; and Gen. Pervez Musharaf should ‘necessarily’ be punished for having successfully managed the warding off the threat of what the scapegoat Afghanistan faced( the hapless already war-ravaged country was ‘bombed to stone age’ in the literal sense of the Western blitz and onslaught).”Before impeaching, arraigning and impugning Pak heroes and their strategic manoeuvre in defence of Pakistan , Kashmiris should be allowed to file a writ petition in the International Court of Justice for bringing the leaders of India and Pakistan to book for their perfidy and betrayal in the backdrop of what the great forum UNO had magnanimously accepted in Aug.13, 1948 resolution and what was , with joint connivance , rejected by India and Pakistan in Jan.5, 1949 UNCIP resolution .Alas ! pertinaciousness of the two major contending parties to Kashmir issue proved instrumental in the annihilation and liquidation of thousands of Kashmiris including Maqbool Butt , Maqbool Malik , Moulvi Farooq , Abdul Gani Lone , Qazi Nisar , Sheikh Ab. Aziz , Ashfaq Majeed Wani , Jaleel Andrabi , Shabir Siddique , Dr. Gh. Qadir Wani ………(to infinity )
Lassitude, languidness and vapidity of Indian rulers in the Indo-Pak reconciliation process is visible and palpable. Their idealistic and pedantic postulations thwart a genuine breakthrough in the otherwise ineluctable and cul-de-sac situation. It is time for the political introverts of India to decide whether confraternity of one and half billion people of South Asia should remain entrenched in the mire and marsh , crevasse and crevice of uncertainty , strife , hostility , surmise and suspicion or that it should flourish , thrive and prosper in an environment of peaceful coexistence , freedom and egalitarian justice . Peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in accordance with the freedom aspirations of enslaved but invariably resolute Kashmiris will help you achieve the objective of distinction in the comity nations . More lapses and ineptitude cannot be condoned . God Almighty will certainly come to the rescue of those who prostrate , pronate in His court with obsecration and humility.
The present stand and stance of Pakistan vis-à-vis Kashmir has, in fact , inexorably fortified her diplomatic demeanour for any forthcoming tripartite discourse on Kashmir. Pakistan, through her approach to Kashmir tangle , has explicitly conveyed to the free world that Pakistan
(i) has no territorial ambitions in Kashmir;
(ii) wants to mitigate and alleviate the sufferings of Kashmiris;
(iii) genuinely believes in the peaceful , amicable and practicable settlement of Kashmir issue;
(iv) is determined to cooperate with USA as strategic ally to holistically and judiciously deal with the culture of violent dissent all over the globe to eventually ensure global peace and ataraxy .
Now is the time for India to reciprocate in Kashmir-centric policy with magnanimity, political acumen and altruistic realpolitik characteristic of her democratic commitment. For Kashmiris all democratic outpourings are mere fanfarnade and braggadocio unless the promise to concede to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination is fulfilled without further dilatory and procrastinative tactics . Wisdom of Dr. Manmohan Singh , the Prime Minister of India , is in the dock .

Mahaz hails Pak Foreign Office

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement welcomes the avowal of Pak foreign Office spokesperson , Abdul Basit and hailed diplomatic role of Pakistan which always stood at the back of ongoing Kashmir freedom struggle politically and morally.
While expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health conditions of Pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Asiya Andrabi and others, who have been caged for demanding the birth right to Kashmiris in accordance with the UN resolutions, moreover there are innumerable Kashmiri youth languishing in various Indian jails since decades together with a pointed reference of Engineer Farooq Ahmad Khan detained at notorious Tihar Jail from last 13 years , Mir said.
Iqbal reiterated that peace in South Asia rests with the negotiable settlement of Kashmir but it should respect the sentiments of naïve Kashmiris , who are braving the situation since 1947.
Mir maintained that meaningful discourse over Kashmir is feasible only when India will withdraw all of its armed forces in Jammu Kashmir, repeal draconian laws like AFSPA and PSA , with extensive based approach.
