Kashmir to act as a peace bridge not a bone of contention in Indo-Pak relations: Mahaz

Mahaz Media Cell, 18th November, 2009: Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) , convened a weekly meeting at its party headquarters , presided by the party president , Mir Mohammad Iqbal , in which all the senior leaders of MeA participated . While illustrating the present world situation and global priorities of various countries , who matter a lot ,the stand taken by US, UK, Libya, Canada, Belgium, Turkey, China etc. especially OIC and Saudi Arabia vis-à-vis Kashmir is an encouraging step in terms of Kashmir polity , Mir said.
Right from the Nehru-Liyakat Pact up to Lahore declaration ,and the various joint statements of India and Pakistan till to the Sharm-Ul –Sheikh , the dire need arises that all the resistance leaders on either side of LOC must develop a Common Minimum Agenda(CMA) and persuade nuclear capable countries of Sub-continent – who have ranged the nuke war heads towards each other ,must come to the realm that in their skirmishes Kashmiris have become the first causality , therefore in the given situation it is mandatory upon the resistance leaders to come up with a full diplomatic and political plunk as pragmatists and convince both Pakistan and India for reconciliation , which will usher a durable , acceptable and dignified settlement of Kashmir, Mir said, adding that it is high time for Kashmiri leadership to express their fortitude in a transparent manner. Of course time gaining can be the best stratagem for India but for Kashmiris to seek maximum from the time could be the wise approach , so let us address possibility and plausibility not the probability ,Iqbal said .
President MeA reiterated that Kashmiri resistance leadership is donning for the dialogue but to start with we must be clear about the political package or proposal to look for , provided it is ours not the purchased one , but that must be in accordance with the aspirations , desires, wishes and sentiments of naïve Kashmiris.
Iqbal maintained that Kashmiri leadership can act as a bridge of peace between India and Pakistan ,if we are vibrant, agile and futuristic with the policy of abridging not to amplifying the Indo-Pak gulf but at the same time to generate trust among those who matter in New Delhi and Islamabad our leadership need to adopt a clear guiding principle vis-à-vis Kashmir , so we collective must train our political guns to make Kashmir a peace bridge not a bone of contention in Indo-Pak relations.

Valliant struggling people of Kashmir to remain steadfast in the subjective patriotic stance :Inqilabi

Mahaz Media Cell, Nov.6, 2009: While paying homage to the martyrs of Jammu, Azam
Inqilabi Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA), in a statement said:
“Sixty two years back Indian National Congress and Muslim League accepted the partition of India as a force majeure and fait accompli thereby facilitating the realignment of 565 princely states with either Pakistan or Bharat. Unfortunately the state of Jammu and Kashmir became a causality in communal polarization and balkanization due to the egocentricity of congress leaders . So a tug-of-war between India and Pakistan ensued over Kashmir . And in the process Kashmir became an expendable pawn .Two and half lac Muslims were mercilessly slaughtered in Jammu province alone in the month of November 1947. The tale of tyranny and oppression is ineffable.During the past 20 years ,over a lac Kashmiris were martyred indiscriminately .Kashmiris were butchered ,mortified ,vituperated and humiliated by those who remained treading the path of intransigence and obduracy . Delhi liege lords always tantalized Kashmiris. Contradictory statements of the Delhi leaders smack and reek of their designs to be glued to the policy of temporization, procrastination and subterfuge.”
Here, while paying obeisance to the heroic people of Germany whose sustained patriotic struggle literally demolished the Berlin Wall on 5th of Nov. 1989 , we ask the Valliant struggling people of Kashmir to remain steadfast in the subjective patriotic stance . They should repose trust in God Almighty who will soon intervene to stem the rot and ensure the emancipation and deliverance of Kashmiris ;and demolition of Berlin Wall here . Inshallah!

Rapprochement, reconciliation is a way forward to solve K. Issue: Inqilabi

Mahaz Media Cell, Oct.21, 2009: Azam Inqilabi, patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA), in a statement , while commenting on the present global scenario vis-à-vis Kashmir says, “We the struggling people of Kashmir feel highly obliged and indebted to the free world especially USA, China and OIC for expressing solidarity with Kashmir and Kashmiris. The proactive diplomatic support of USA and China to Kashmir freedom struggle is commendable and enviable . China as a party to Kashmir dispute approves of the independence option for Kashmir . Pakistan has already adopted a bold and visionary policy and stance regarding Kashmir. “Pakistan is no more averse to independence of Kashmir”—is the lemma of Pak foreign . Libyan leader Gen. Muammar Qaddafi has vociferously spoken in favour of independent Kashmir . He espoused the cause of Kashmiris in UN general Assembly. US president Mr. Barak Husain Obama and his entourage including Mrs. Clinton , the foreign minister, are working day and night to facilitate meaningful Indo-Pak dialogue on Kashmir. In such a congenial global atmosphere it is imperative for the dynamic leader of Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq , APHC chairman , to co-opt all the resistance leaders on either side of LOC for a common and clear policy for Kashmir cause . The valiant youth of Kashmir have already reposed trust in him . Hope veteran leader Syed Ali Geelani Saheb will endorse Mirwaiz Umar Farooq`s pragmatic and objective stand and stance regarding the future dispensation of Kashmir.”
“India and Pakistan , the two coeval countries in our neighbourhood , are now co-equal in power and potential . Kashmir has the inherent potential of becoming a nuclear flashpoint . Perpetual belligerency and regressive obsession is no answer to the volatile situation of South Asia . Rapprochement, reconciliation is a way forward to strengthen the dogma and doctrine of mutualism and codependency . So it is time to shun polemics, recrimination , temporization and prevarication. The two countries India and Pakistan should engage Kashmiris in the tripartite discourse on Kashmir . Delaying and dilatory politics will only confound the already flummoxed Kashmir situation to the detriment of peace and tranquillity of South Asia in particular and globe in general.”

Travesty of truth / By Azam Inqilabi

It was on August 15, 2009 when Dr. Manmohan Singh , the Prime Minister of India, while addressing the Indian nation from the ramparts of Red Fort, said that Assembly elections of Kashmir had rendered the resistance leaders of Kashmir “irrelevant.” I felt astounded and shell-shocked . “Is it lapsus linguae of the suave, self-possessed, sagacious and discreet leader trying to divest himself of the horror created by the fictitious and fabulous problems in and outside the establishment ;and have the hawks held him as hostage against sine qua non—acquiescing in of the supremo?” , I murmured and grumbled with my own intuitive paroxysm . After all , who made him feel so estranged and insecure as to belie and falsify what history and UNO have already accepted as a stark reality sanctified by the promise (Vachan) made by Pt. Jawahirlal Nehru and Pak leaders too. Yes, Kashmiris have yet to exercise their right to self -determination through free and fair referendum.
The truth and sooth of Kashmir resistance movement cannot be equivocated and forfeited by compulsive rhetoric of the adversaries around. Kashmir-related realities are intact unless UNO as the world forum becomes irrelevant and redundant for good. Transient and flippant overtures and gestures of friendship cannot be a substitute to the serious volition and resolve to solve the outstanding issues which have bedevilled and embittered relations of the two nuclear powers of South Asia . Tantalizing the already mortified and benumbed Kashmiris; dabbling at and stereotyping Kashmir issue is an obnoxious monolithic monotony morbid and unpalatable indeed.
Notwithstanding the dichotomic contradictions of the top brass my resilient optimism makes me feel enamoured and enthralled; and I soon start looking at the leaders of India and Pakistan with pity and compassion too. In fact, it is the elite which ,despite knowledge of vulnerability and susceptibility of South Asia in an environment of horrifying nuclearization, feels nostalgic about the regressive obscurantism and chauvinism which blurs and blinkers the vision of the leaders on whom lies the onus of prospective guidance and decisive diktats for ensuring global peace and stability .No skulduggery can guarantee deliverance and retrieval from the mire and morass of uncertainty, commotion and consternation that has enveloped the civil society of Asia. So instead of envenoming this society more and more through myopic policy of brinkmanship consecrated constructive efforts should be put in to detoxicate it to ensure peace ,tranquillity and reconciliation between groups and nations pitted against one another.
Senator Akram Zaki of Pakistan, while dilating on global politics with veridical approach in his interview published in an English daily on August17, 2009 , alluded to Saarland, a piece of a land that had become a bone of contention between France and Germany as an aftermath of 2nd. World War. Rationalism and stoicism of the contending parties eventually facilitated the free and fair referendum in Saarland in 1955 consequent on which the disputed territory got annexed with Germany ; and today the bonhomie of the two powers is vividly conspicuous in European Union. The precedent should coax and cajole India and Pakistan to have tryst with a similar example of objectivity and realism. Why should truth become a casualty when the visionary leader Mr. Jaswant Singh, the ex-foreign minister of India ,tries to be vocal in his assertion for truth thereby unveiling what remains shrouded by bigotry and irredentism ?Yes, I too subscribe to Mr. Singh’s viewpoint that M.A . Jinnah was a nationalist, not a communalist, and he was pushed to the wall by the parochialism of Indian National Congress and subsequently he was “demonized” as a recalcitrant and intractable dissident hell-bent on the vivisection of India.’ (unquote). As a high profile self –respecting conscientious Muslim leader Jinnah Saheb did what one million books on decommunalized politics could not elucidate . Now peaceful coexistence between India and Pakistan is prioritized by exponents of stratagem of modus vivendi . The two countries should bury the hatchet for good, if suicide is not an option . Mr. Jaswant Singh will discern a like- minded friend in late Abul Kalam Azad ,Congress stalwart, whose book ‘India Wins Freedom’ is a magnum opus for the students of history . Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpaye as the Prime Minister of India, jotted down in the visitors’ book at Mizar-e-Pakistan that stability and integrity of India depended on the stability and integrity of Pakistan .The message is loud and clear for the irredendists of India.
Kashmir issue , as Prof. Dr. Anand Kumar of JNU in an informal interaction with me in my cottage a few days back maintained , has the inherent potential of turning out to be casus belli of a nuclear holocaust in South Asia . This is, of course, a nightmarish prognosis for humanists of East and West. So the two countries India and Pakistan should, without further digression and dilatory detour, be prompt for brass tacks— substantive dialogue for the final amicable settlement of Kashmir problem. That Kashmir is ‘atoot ang of India’ or ‘political shahrag of Pakistan’ is a travesty of truth . Well, it is a different story that rivers originating from Kashmir have accorded to Kashmir the title of “economic jugular vein of Pakistan.” Stated position of the either country did not prove of any help; rather it proved counterproductive. Instead of negativism a prospective and perspicacious approach should be adopted for a discursive and substantive debate and discourse on Kashmir. This is an altruistic way to ameliorate the lot of millions of pauperized people of South Asia. Of late, Pakistan declared that “Pak was not averse to the concept of Independent Kashmir.” India should seize the opportunity to mollify bruised Kashmiris. God Almighty will not leave us in the lurch. He will certainly come to our rescue.

Kashmiris render exemplary sacrifices for Independent Kashmir: Mahaz

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) Mir Mohammad Iqbal in an avowal said that UNCIP ( United Nation’s Commission on India and Pakistan) resolution of 13th August ,1948 is the base ,which gives guarantee to Kashmiris for expressing the will to decide their future . MeA firmly believes that the acceptable and honourable solution to Kashmir is the negotiable settlement , which can be achieved in contrast with right to right of self determination , whose doctrine should be widespread not restrictive, Mir said.
Mir Iqbal reiterated that Kashmiris have rendered exemplary sacrifices for achieving the cherished goal— the complete Independence of Jammu Kashmir, for which naïve people are maimed, chastity tarnished, wanton loot of wealth and property is done by authorities of oppression and suppression but still people at large are wedded with the ongoing resistance movement.
He maintained that mission of Martyrs will be taken to the logical conclusion come what may.
It is worth to mention that Kashmiris across Jammu Kashmir, Azad Kashmir and abroad observe Self-determination Day in commemoration of resolution of August 13, 1947 which promises plebiscite as solution to the dispute of Kashmir.

Maqbool Butt’s face glittered/By Azam Inqilabi

When on Aug.5,2009 Mr. Abdul Basit , the foreign office spokesman of Pakistan , declared in unambiguous words that Pakistan favoured the emergence of independent Kashmir because free Kashmir would act as a “stabilizing factor” in Indo-Pak political relationship . Pensive Maqbool Butt—while feeling thrilled, elated and exalted in Jannat-ul-Firdous –murmured with a smiling face : “Bohut d’air Kee meharban aatay aatay”. This is the serious considerate official proclamation of a government which is ascribed and attributed to Bhuttoos (with special reference to martyr Z.A. Bhutoo). It was in Summer 1970 when I called on late Z.A. Bhutoo in a hotel in Rawalpindi and handed over a memorandum to him. Bhuttoo Sahab , in his proud entourage ,with a lustrous and blooming face said, “I will go through this document and apprise you of my response .” A day after ,Dr. Farooq Haider , a bosom friend of Maqbool Butt, and my host informed me that Bhuttoo Sahab has appreciated the gravamen of the blueprint on independent Kashmir. Again in 1994 AD, during my sojourn in Pakistan, I tried to meet late Benazir Bhuttoo Sahiba , the Prime Minister of Pakistan , but in vain . I simply wanted to remind her of what the prognosticative and prospective brain of her father Z.A. Bhuttoo was visualizing about a pragmatic solution of Kashmir issue.
Kashmiris are not ingrate and ungrateful people. We are indebted to Pakistan for the sustained and consistent support which she provided to our resistance movement during the decades gone by. Yes, we express our gratitude and vail our hats off to Pak nation for the heroic role it played in displaying its indomitable and insuperable will and valour while expressing solidarity with the subjugated , vituperated , putrified and petrified people of Kashmir . Kashmiris had reposed trust in God Almighty ;they kept struggling hard for the achievement of their cherished objective-Azadi. Their unflinching faith in Province and unwavering resolve and pluck inevitably fructified . And today the visionary leaders of Pakistan , through lateral thinking indeed ,conceded to the concept of independent Kashmir . Hence bravo to this glaring bravado! So, far Kashmiris the month August is august, perhaps , because it endorses Kashmiris’ option of unfettered right to self-determination . On August 13,1948 UNCIP resolution ratified Kashmiris’ innate urge for freedom and on Aug.5, 2009 Pak establishment inversely accepted the precedence of Aug.13,1948 resolution over Jan 5,1949 resolution of United Nations Commission on India and Pakistan .Our euphoric exhilaration gets dampened and we stop raving over the ostensible positivism of Pakistan when the atmosphere is rife with the heart –rendering news that some hawks in Pak system are hell-bent on punishing sons of the soil – “ Ayub Khan should be punished for ensuring the integrity of Pakistan in 1965; Zia-ul-Haq should be punished for taking on Soviet Union in Afghanistan ; and Gen. Pervez Musharaf should ‘necessarily’ be punished for having successfully managed the warding off the threat of what the scapegoat Afghanistan faced( the hapless already war-ravaged country was ‘bombed to stone age’ in the literal sense of the Western blitz and onslaught).”Before impeaching, arraigning and impugning Pak heroes and their strategic manoeuvre in defence of Pakistan , Kashmiris should be allowed to file a writ petition in the International Court of Justice for bringing the leaders of India and Pakistan to book for their perfidy and betrayal in the backdrop of what the great forum UNO had magnanimously accepted in Aug.13, 1948 resolution and what was , with joint connivance , rejected by India and Pakistan in Jan.5, 1949 UNCIP resolution .Alas ! pertinaciousness of the two major contending parties to Kashmir issue proved instrumental in the annihilation and liquidation of thousands of Kashmiris including Maqbool Butt , Maqbool Malik , Moulvi Farooq , Abdul Gani Lone , Qazi Nisar , Sheikh Ab. Aziz , Ashfaq Majeed Wani , Jaleel Andrabi , Shabir Siddique , Dr. Gh. Qadir Wani ………(to infinity )
Lassitude, languidness and vapidity of Indian rulers in the Indo-Pak reconciliation process is visible and palpable. Their idealistic and pedantic postulations thwart a genuine breakthrough in the otherwise ineluctable and cul-de-sac situation. It is time for the political introverts of India to decide whether confraternity of one and half billion people of South Asia should remain entrenched in the mire and marsh , crevasse and crevice of uncertainty , strife , hostility , surmise and suspicion or that it should flourish , thrive and prosper in an environment of peaceful coexistence , freedom and egalitarian justice . Peaceful settlement of Kashmir issue in accordance with the freedom aspirations of enslaved but invariably resolute Kashmiris will help you achieve the objective of distinction in the comity nations . More lapses and ineptitude cannot be condoned . God Almighty will certainly come to the rescue of those who prostrate , pronate in His court with obsecration and humility.
The present stand and stance of Pakistan vis-à-vis Kashmir has, in fact , inexorably fortified her diplomatic demeanour for any forthcoming tripartite discourse on Kashmir. Pakistan, through her approach to Kashmir tangle , has explicitly conveyed to the free world that Pakistan
(i) has no territorial ambitions in Kashmir;
(ii) wants to mitigate and alleviate the sufferings of Kashmiris;
(iii) genuinely believes in the peaceful , amicable and practicable settlement of Kashmir issue;
(iv) is determined to cooperate with USA as strategic ally to holistically and judiciously deal with the culture of violent dissent all over the globe to eventually ensure global peace and ataraxy .
Now is the time for India to reciprocate in Kashmir-centric policy with magnanimity, political acumen and altruistic realpolitik characteristic of her democratic commitment. For Kashmiris all democratic outpourings are mere fanfarnade and braggadocio unless the promise to concede to Kashmiris’ right to self-determination is fulfilled without further dilatory and procrastinative tactics . Wisdom of Dr. Manmohan Singh , the Prime Minister of India , is in the dock .

Mahaz hails Pak Foreign Office

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement welcomes the avowal of Pak foreign Office spokesperson , Abdul Basit and hailed diplomatic role of Pakistan which always stood at the back of ongoing Kashmir freedom struggle politically and morally.
While expressing serious concern over the deteriorating health conditions of Pro-freedom leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Asiya Andrabi and others, who have been caged for demanding the birth right to Kashmiris in accordance with the UN resolutions, moreover there are innumerable Kashmiri youth languishing in various Indian jails since decades together with a pointed reference of Engineer Farooq Ahmad Khan detained at notorious Tihar Jail from last 13 years , Mir said.
Iqbal reiterated that peace in South Asia rests with the negotiable settlement of Kashmir but it should respect the sentiments of naïve Kashmiris , who are braving the situation since 1947.
Mir maintained that meaningful discourse over Kashmir is feasible only when India will withdraw all of its armed forces in Jammu Kashmir, repeal draconian laws like AFSPA and PSA , with extensive based approach.

MAHAZ PAYS TRIBUTES TO MOHAMMAD MAQBOOL MALIK

Patron Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) Mohammad Azam Inquilabi in a statement on Wednesday , while paying glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Akhuwat(Martyr of Brotherhood) Mohammad Maqbaool Malik said that he was a committed freedom fighter who in reality was partisan to the revolutionary philosophical policy of Shaheed Maqbool Butt. Maqbool Malik was engaged with the freedom movement when infamous Indra-Abdullah accord was signed and he raised his voice against this treason: Malik was the staunch supporter with full of zip to the ongoing Kashmir resistance movement, Azam said.
“ While receiving the news of Malik`s Martyrdom given by Dr. Gh. Qadir Wani to me at Rawalpindi ,it send shivers to the down ,”Azam said, adding , “ when this freedom stalwart has become an eye sore , then whose existence shall be tolerated.”
Martyrdom of Maqbool Malik paved a path for the immediate halt and gave a chance to a new genre of co-existence on the basis of ideological differences for achieving the cherished goal of freedom , Inquilabi said .
Muhammad Azam Inqiuilabi said that our youth continue to lay down their precious lives, chastity is being tarnished, loot and arson of property is order of the day and morale of our resistance leaders is high despite languishing in various Indian Jails.
Kashmir resistance movement is based on the theory of grievance and confrontation ,it gives solace associated with satisfaction when this struggle traverses through the path of battle of `Badar and Balakot` with all hopes left to Almighty Allah, Inquilabi said.
In the combat of righteousness and malevolence , Kashmiris will emerge as conquerors, on one hand their are ravenous God fearing freedom campaigners while as on the other their are those who believe on irrepressible oppression and tyranny; since 1947 India navigated the pathway which challenged the honour , dignity and self esteem of naïve Kashmiris ,thus whole of South Asia is entrenched in the soggy like situation with uncertainty all prevalent , Azam said.
Inquilabi maintained that Kashmiris are very much keen to get respite from the vagueness with the dominance of conducive situation while counting the days to come on their fingers.
The day will come very soon when both India and Pakistan will ensure freedom to Kashmiris , Insha Allah

Nectar of altruistic doctrinism/By: Azam Inqilabi

Man, as the vicegerent of God Almighty, has an innate urge for preponderance in socio-political life. His propensity for elevation in temporal world always bolsters, rejuvenates and invigorates his resolve and conation to remain steadfast in his endeavour to look for means and methods which can help him achieve the objective of prominence and distinction in the sphere of performance . Political stalwarts with exuberant passion for subjective and prospective assertion find themselves always engrossed in the scramble for the position of exaltation and excellence .An altruist with a populistic agenda would want to become a beacon light in the civil society of the nation he belongs to. Political leader with outstanding leadership flair inadvertently tries to be a doctrinist so that he can instil hope and infuse the spirit of revolution into the hearts of his admirers. Doctrinism for patriotic ambitions is always soothingly wholesome ; without populistic and altruistic prudence doctrinism may get relegated to the position of chauvinistic doctrinairism which , in no case , is palatable for humanists and the gentility at large .So it is only a doctrinist with universal altruistic political agenda who can infallibly and impeccably spearhead a comprehensive movement of socio-political renaissance .And contribution of such an all - pervasive altruistic doctrinist will inevitably turn out to be spiritual nectar and temporal panacea of all socio-political ailments and imponderables .
All the global pacifists and humanists felt exulted and elated on July 6,2009 when Mr. Barak Husain Obama, the US President, and Mr. Dmitry A. Madvedev, the Russian President signed an agreement for strategic cooperation in the field of nuclear disarmament and slashing of nuclear warheads and missiles . Perennial bellicosity and antagonism reminiscent of the Cold War era is certainly obsolete , redundant and anachronistic in the present global trend of political rapprochement and entente . All the
global leaders should bear in mind that political dichotomy and paradoxical and enigmatic manoeuvering to checkmate one another is now obnoxious ,repugnant and abhorrent for those who are earnestly craving for global peace and tranquillity. In the arena of global politics only the nonpareil and chastened political ideas can guarantee emancipation and deliverance from mind –boggling mess of conflicting chauvinistic pursuits. In the backdrop of the philosophical outpourings of those who matter in the political theatre ,what the leaders of South Asia said in orchestration to synchronize the peace efforts is really heartening . So Indo-Pak summit of July 16,2009 in Sharam-ul-Sheikh (Egypt)did convey a message of peace and pacifism and it augurs well in the present environment of turbulence and truculence . However, the joint communiqué reticence, taciturnity and brevity vis-à-vis Kashmir caused disillusionment here. Of late , US secretary of state ,Ms. Hillary Clinton ,during her visit to New Delhi was unequivocally emphatic in explaining the exigency of involvement of Kashmiris and their patriotic aspirations in the Indo-Pak peace process . Thus Ms. Hillary Clinton’s savoury sermon did embolden the otherwise benumbed and dejected Kashmiris .
In Indo-Pak political relations maximalists shall have to condescend to recognize that realpolitik and empiricism alone can salvage the South Asian region . It is the political acumen , prudence and stoicism of Indian and Pakistani rulers which can ward off the threat of pre-emption and sabotage while exchanging constructive and substantive postulations on Kashmir ;and gravamen of each side should necessarily avoid fixation and obsession as irritant . Propensity for and disposition to regressive nationalism and chauvinism will simply vitiate the atmosphere which lies already overshadowed by mistrust and paranoia. Let the chapter of polemics , recrimination and shenanigans be consigned to archives . It is nice that the nuclear potential of India and Pakistan successfully countervails and counter balances the threat , horror and terror . The parity in power and potential of the two contending parties to Kashmir issue should be motivating factor for serious discourse and brass tacks during Kashmir parleys . General Pervez Musharaf , the ex-President of Pakistan ,in his interview published by daily Rising Kashmir on July 18 ,2009 reveals that there was a credible consensus between India and Pakistan for a generalized demilitarization of Kashmir . General Musharaf was “awaiting the visit of Dr. Manmohan Singh to Pakistan for a formal ceremony of assigning of the signatures to the agreement”. Alas! , the castrated , emasculated and egocentric advisors in New Delhi could not prove of any help to Dr. Manmohan ji then .The aftermath and fallout of the failure was visible later on ;we need not question the veracity of the contention on either side . Thanks to obscurantism! It is time to recast the ideas about the peaceful coexistence . And the nectar of altruistic doctrinism will eventually become a binding force between India and Pakistan and hence free Kashmir will be bridge of friendship between the two. Inshe Allah .
Now vibes and overtures for the resumption of dialogue are welcome ;tripartite discourse on Kashmir will be the logical culmination of the exhaustive interaction between New Delhi and Islamabad . Squandering, dissipating and frittering away of natural resources for jingoism and unwanted polarization is detestable ,abominable and reprehensible . Welfare of one and a half billion people of South Asia cannot be held as hostage to the legacy of belligerency real or imaginary .
So our plea ,with consecution and coherence , for early peaceful and practicable settlement of Kashmir issue should move and mobilize the authorities which appear petrified , hardened ,obdurate and intractable with egocentric resilience. Let us pray to God Almighty that such souls be proselytized to adopt a humanistic approach to Kashmir issue which ostensibly seems vexed and complex . Tread the path of righteousness with indefatigable resolve and determination.Allah will crown your efforts with success.

For permanent peace in South Asia K solution must: MAHAZ

Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi convened a weekly meeting on Wednesday at its party headquarters chaired by president Mir Mohammad Iqbal and was attended by some senior Mahaz leaders which include Mohammad Yousuf Kaloo, Jamsheed Querashi, Nazir Ahmad and Manzoor Ahmad. In the meeting a resolution was moved on the present political scenario and passed it unanimously with the pointed references on the recommendations of Pandian commission set up to probe Pathribal, Shangus killings, established in year 2000 and Jan commission set up in 2009 - to give recommendations for rape and murder of two young women of Shopian but it seems that the heads of the commissions have been brought under pressure to toe the line of government and give recommendations between the lines which befits so called administration, it is also a candid reality that Justice Pandian while camping at New Delhi`s JK house was insulted and his belonging thrown out, these like commissions have no credence but to give diversion to the original facts.
Mahaz always favours meaningful and result oriented dialogue meant to solve the long pending issue of Kashmir but the discourse should respect the wishes, aspirations and desires of naïve Kashmiris, Mir said.
Iqbal reiterated that for permanent peace in South Asia, it is mandatory on the leadership of India and Pakistan to resolve Kashmir issue amicably and peacefully through meaningful dialogue process.
President Mir Mohammad Iqbal maintained that the mission of martyrs shall be taken to logical conclusion, come what may.

Mahaz concerns over deteriorating HR situation in Kashmir

Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA), convened a weekly meeting at its head office Rajbagh Srinagar on Wednesday chaired by Party president ,Mir Mohammad Iqbal attended by senior Mahazis` which include Ghulam Hassan Kaloo, Jamsheed Ahmad Qureshi, Mohammad Shafi Dar, Mohammad Ayub Ahanger and Manzoor Ahmad.
In the meeting deteriorating human rights situation was discussed at length and breadth. And Mahaz paid glowing tributes to those youth- who achieved martyrdom during last week-especially four youth of Baramullah and Asrar Mushtaq of Maisuma, 20,who had "disappeared" while in police custody in Srinagar. These like acts exposed real face of Indian oppression in Kashmir and the tactic of awe and terror cannot kill the resolve of Kashmiris ,who are resistance the illegal occupation of India in Kashmir, Mir Said.
Mahaz urges international Human rights organizations to depute their fact finding missions ,to keen on ,the fast growing HR violations in Kashmir ,designed by Indian armed forces so that the ongoing freedom movement will die down but it is their illusion, Iqbal said.
A resolution was passed unanimously in the meeting saying that Kashmiri women folk - soft target of Indian forces who have unleashed reign of terror in every nook and corner of Kashmir and it is an admitted fact chief contributors to Agriculture in valley are women and majority of the population in Kashmir is weeded with this sector thus to give dent to economy of Kashmiris, occupation forces have devised this psychological tool, with the pointed reference of Shopian rape and murder case.
At last president MeA, maintained that mission of martyrs shall be continued till to the logical conclusion. Meanwhile Mahaz extends heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family of Javaid Ahmad Shalla , whose mother left heavenly abode on Tuesday . In the mean time MeA expresses profound grief and sorrow over the death of Shahi Imam Jammia Masjid Delhi Maulana Syed Abdullah Bukhari.

An open letter to Mr. Banki Moon, the Secretary General of UNO

An Open Letter
addressed to Mr. Banki Moon, the Secretary General of UNO
Respected Banki Moon Saheb, July3, 2009
Honourable Secretary General of UNO. Nageen, Srinagar
Compliments——
Well, the knell—‘Suri Israfeel’—is poised to wreak havoc when the mountains will collapse , oceans will be ablaze and humans will resurrect for accountability in the court of Allah and his proud entourage of prophets including Ibrahim , Muhammad , Jesus Christ and Moses (peace be on them all). On the day of Judgement all self –conceited and haughty rulers including despots and monarchs will be grilled for their performance as the plenipotentiary authorities who were enjoying sway over the multitude of people. That will be the day of reckoning. A few centuries back it were the feudal lords of global civil society who were ruling the roost and calling the shots. Yes, in autarchy, monarchy and oligarchy a ruler was answerable to none but his own prerogative . Rest of the people would literally act as the hewers of wood and drawers of water. The impoverished and famished people were looked upon as mesmerized dumb masses having no say in state dispensation. Now is the epoch-making era of democracy and civil liberties . An august self-delusion for those who have been languishing in the agonizing and traumatizing environment of serfdom and servitude . Wars, conventional or asymmetrically unconventional ,in essence, proved zero-sum hawkish militarism. In Vietnam USA had to face ignominious somersault . In Afghanistan erstwhile Soviet Union had to witness its debacle and discomfiture . Present blitzkrieg of USA and NATO forces in Afghanistan is coming home to roost and proving counterproductive . In the West civil society is overwhelmed by despondency due to recession and staggering economic system.
Humanists of the world are justified in questioning the rationale for the continued belligerency and bellicosity between various warring groups and nations . They feel dejected and desponded. Why should billions and trillions of dollars be squandered on the military adventurism in subjugated countries? Can’t this God’s benefaction be used for the general uplift of the underprivileged and dispossessed people of East and West?
Unresolved political issues of Kashmir and Palestine should no more be equivocated and obfuscated through quixotic political gimmicks of the authorities masquerading as democrats. The egregious situation of Kashmir where stew and brew of inveterate rancour and acrimony is palpable seeks attention of the world body UNO. Think about the plight of the beleaguered and besieged vale and dale of Kashmir where men in uniform are on the prowl to raven after the booty of the people who are lynched ,maimed and mutilated for no fault of theirs except that they are asserting in a peaceful way for their inalienable right to self-determination . Passivity and indolence of the world body is no answer to the deteriorating situation of Kashmir where mayhem , carnage ,homicide, desecration of the symbols of chastity and honour is order of the day . Shopian town is still restive; it is groaning with the agony perpetrated by the relentless forces of onslaught . On July 2,2009 a 19-year old boy was tortured and finally killed by soldiers brandishing bayonets . In Baramullah four freedom activists of political outfits were eliminated.
Why should rulers of the free countries act as compurgators trying to bail themselves out of the situation so exacting through , ironically speaking, the doctrine of defeatism ? And they are feeling no compunction , remorse and angst. They can , if they assert, change the scenario of pessimism and dysphoria through unflinching resolve and conation. Obscurantism and regressive nostalgia of the political myopes cannot help retrieve the situation in Kashmir . For countries polarized and nation states balkanized within it is time to cry quits. Why should the descendents of Adam and Eve be perpetually at daggers drawn with one another? Atmosphere of cordiality can be created through entente and mutual trust and understanding . Sciamachy should be replaced by rapprochement and reconciliation. US president , the dynamic leader with innovative concept of socio-political reorientation , can in league with other prudent global leaders play a decisive role in redeeming the global civil society from the crevasse of chaos and commotion.

You, as the distinguished luminary commanding respect all over the globe, can work wonders in creating a congenial atmosphere for the settlement of all the global political issues. And respected members of the Security Council should now indispensably have a reappraisal of their approach to long-standing festering political issues which have beset the global civilization .
Wish you success; Providence be with you Aameen !

An open letter to US President Mr. Barak Husain Obama

June 7,2009
Nageen Srinagar , Kashmir

An open letter to US President Mr. Barak Husain Obama
Jenab Barak Husain Obama Saheb
Honourable President of USA.
Assalam-o-Alaikum
You had the privilege to address the global intelligentsia in Cairo University (Egypt) on June 4,2009 to create an atmosphere of optimism and thaw in the Muslim world in particular and global civil society in general. In fact the pacifists of the world felt thunderstruck, enthralled , captivated and fascinated by your thought –provoking and scintillating speech which evaded affectation and hackneyed verbiage which was once characteristic of the ego-centric demagogues of America . You , through your objectivity and pragmatism of concepts , have certainly kindled hope and euphoria in the hearts of those who crave for global peace and tranquillity .You were , we concede, candid and sagacious when you declared in unambiguous words that—
“America is not and never will be at war with Islam.”
“More recently ,tension has been fed by colonialism that denied rights and opportunities to many Muslims and Cold War in which Muslim` majority countries were too often treated as proxies without regard to their own aspirations .”
“Whatever we think of the past we must not be prisoners of it” and “this cycle of suspicion and discord must end.”
We, the pragmatists of the world, genuinely feel that brother Obama’s philosophical eirenicon to stem the rot and ensure global peace will soon get materialized to eventually salve the wounds of the oppressed and dispossessed people in various regions of the world . And this is how insurrectionists of the world can be brought round and co-opted for constructive activity especially state-dispensation . This is time to empower the enslaved and humiliated people of Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan. It is time to shun the desultory and myopic approach to global issues .
Let Obama’s Messianism lead him to the cherished goal of amicable , honourable and peaceful settlement of the outstanding global political problems .
Wish you success.
Wasalam Yours

“ Pakistan is a sovereign country and has a capacity to deal such like incursions ,effectively and dedicatedly ,”he added, Pak army is the most disciplined force and they have the aptitude to deal the eventualities , which are devised to weaken Pakistan .

President MeA urged upon member countries of OIC especially Saudi Arabia , Turkey, Iran to utilize their foreign offices to daze India for not fulfilling the commitments and promises, which she had made with Kashmiris.
MeA always believes in discourse , but to open the channels of communication, dialogue should be meaningful, result oriented and in accordance with the aspirations of common Kashmiris.

Mahaz thanks people ; praises Mirwaiz Umer

President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement has thanked people of Kashmir for making Eidgah Chalo rally a grand success and praised the dynamic leadership of Young Mirwaiz , Molvi Mohammad Umer Farooq. “ No matter all issues in world get solved through dialogue , but India has always remained non-serious on resolution of Kashmir ,” Mir said, Kashmir being the ‘alma mater’ for all impasses between Pakistan and India ,so its negotiable settlement can usher a new epoch of prosperity and development in the region with propensity of progress , however the solution of Kashmir must be at par with the wishes and aspiration of people of Jammu Kashmir, Iqbal added, saying , “ Thursday’s mammoth gathering at Eidgah , called in view to commemorate the martyrdom of Shaheed-e-Milat Moulana Mohammad Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Kh. Abdul Gani Lone , Martyrs of Hawal and other martyrs of Kashmir is an eye opener to the fact that India has applied all sorts of subjugation tactics to die down the on going freedom movement but resolve of Kashmiris and their sagacity will definitely take this sacred struggle to the logical conclusion.” Iqbal maintained that Pro-freedom leadership is determined to carry on the mission of martyrs to the commonsensical end, and MeA is never against any discourse but it should be result oriented and meaningful. He reiterated that Kashmir being the nuclear flash- point in South Asia , on its claims and counter India and Pakistan have fought three conventional wars besides Kargil battle, therefore Obama administration must help naïve Kashmiris to get rid from the tyranny of Indian occupational rule by supporting their birth right- right of right to self determination as guaranteed by auspices of UN Security council through its resolutions.

No just struggle can be suppressed by coercive means and methods: APHC

An unusual meeting was convened at Hurriyat Headquarters Srinagar ,chaired by Senior Hurriyat and Muslim Conference Leader Shabir Ahmad Dar, attended by Senior Hurriyat leaders , which include Javaid Ahmad Mir, Shahid-Ul-Islam , Ghulam Nabi Zaki , Hakeem Abdul Rashid and Mohammad Yousuf Naqash. On going freedom movement will continue till to the cherished goal ‘Freedom’:Mahaz

Mahaz Media Cell:President Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi Mir Mohammad Iqbal in a statement said that rightly Jammu Kashmir Mahaz-e-Azadi(MeA) couldn’t be observed on 7th May ,its raising day - MeA was stipulated on this day in 1977, under the dynamic leadership of Sofi Mohammad Akber at the same time, it is also true that due to uncertain political situation every activity got halted .
Any way in view of 7th May (raising day) , MeA has decided to observe it in a simple way that too on 16th May 2009 at Rajbagh Office , people who are wedded with MeA called Mahazis` have assembled with the pledge and resolve that the on going freedom movement will continue till to the cherished goal , “Freedom”-in South Asia peace can only be restored ,if Kashmir issue is resolved peacefully as per the wishes, desires ,aspirations and sentiments of common stock of people of Jammu Kashmir,Iqbal said:“ Patron MeA Mohammad Azam Inqulabi in last year’s raising day propounded the roadmap for the acceptable and durable solution of Kashmir - the view point- for the those who are at the helm of affairs in Pakistan and India having objective thinking must literally accept the proposal ;now the question is that will the proposal will be given practical shape, which matters!”
Mir Mohammad Iqbal maintained that the responsible leaders of both India and Pakistan must expedite in sorting out an honourable and peaceful solution of Kashmir tangle, after everything else Kashmiris get pulverized in the political grinder of two countries - India and Pakistan must have the strong feeling that naïve Kashmiris as a small nation have rendered immense and exemplarily sacrifices . So, will this nation be forced to surrender -no absolutely not !
In today’s assemblage we appeal to our Kashmiri brethren that have full faith on Allah. Worldly acumen and required steps are at its own place but at last all arrangements and proposals are to be left before Almighty :Who is Lord of all worlds, Mir added.
MeA prays for the early recovery of Patron Mahaz, Mohammad Azam Inqulabi, whose is suffering from bad health conditions and his produced plan may get approval, so that Sub-continent will get respite from the uncertainly and can usher a soothing stage to the people of South Asia .
May Almighty approve the sacrifices of Kashmiris and in the very near future our nation will get perpetual respite from tyranny and trauma (Ameen).
The meeting was also attended by Mohammad Shafi Mir, Haji Mohammad Afzal Mir , Mohammad Yousuf Kaloo, Jamsheed Ahmad Qureshi , Mohammad Ayoub Ahanger spoke on the occasion.

Anti-polls strike, demos in occupied Kashmir

In occupied Kashmir, the fifth and the last phase of Indian parliamentary elections, today, was marked with complete protest strike and anti-polls demonstrations. A large number of people took to the streets with anti-election slogans at Bomai in Sopore and in Baramulla while Indian police personnel subjected the protestors in Wetrigam and Bandipore to brute force arresting several of them.
Thousands of policemen and paramilitary troopers wearing bulletproof jackets and carrying assault rifles marched the deserted streets of Srinagar and other towns of the valley. The troops had erected the barricades and laid concertina wires to foil anti-election protests.
A very low turnout was recorded in Sopore, Bomai, Baramulla, Pattan, Palhalan, Magaam, Wetrigam and Bandipore. Indian troops forcibly herded people towards the polling booths at Lalpora and Tikkipora in Lolab, Saihepora in Handwara and Brat in Sopore. The APHC Chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, in a statement in Srinagar, said that farcical polls were meaningless and irrelevant in the presence of seven hundred thousand occupation troops and after placing Hurriyet leaders in detention and house arrest. Besides the APHC Chairman, several other pro-freedom leaders continue to remain under stringent house arrest.

President MeA reiterated that in spite of elections from 1952 to 2009, three wars between India and Pakistan happened, so these so-called elections have no bearing on the nature of the dispute. Lest We Forget/By Waseem Shah

May 8 reminds us one the darkest and bloodiest day in the Kashmir’s history of occupation and suppression. It was on this day in the year 1991 that about 29 innocent people were brutally martyred by C.R.P.F near martyr’s graveyard Khnayar, when a funeral procession of 3 local militants killed in an encounter was going on, trigger happy C.R.P.F personnel run amok and fired indiscriminately at the people adding another day in the long list of bloody massacres in Kashmir.

Kashmir’s history is full of such acts were humanity was putted to shame and these are in no way acts of human rights violation but war crimes committed as to spread fear psychosis among people of Kashmir demanding their inherent, pledged, fully deserved and unfettered right of self determination. And it is the denial of this basic right by which peace has eluded and the rein of uncertainty is prevailing in the sub-continent.

It is due to the supreme sacrifices offered by lakhs of Kashmiris who gave their red hot blood which took this dispute from cold storage and highlighted it in international arena. Conscious and valiant people of Kashmir will never allow letting these sacrifices go waste. Sagacity and prudence demands resolving this vexed issue in tune with the national aspirations of Kashmiris otherwise its inherent potential can destabilize the peace of whole South Asia.

President MeA maintained that Kashmir being the nuclear flash point in the region ,if remains unresolved can invite another combat rather a full scale nuclear war-a manmade catastrophe- therefore to guarantee peace in South Asia, it is obligatory for Pakistan and India to resolve the issue for their own benefits and interests .
